Where an account or payment problem should go first

Every dispute about money starts with the operator. Their support channel is the only one with access to your account, your bet history and your verification file. Work through it in order, and keep a written record.

1. Open a ticket or live chat with the sportsbook and ask for a written reference number.

The legal position we work within

Before you write to us about a specific site, it helps to know the framework we are describing. The General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), established in September 2023, licenses commercial gaming in the UAE. Its remit covers The Game LLC national lottery, the land-based licence for Wynn Al Marjan Island scheduled to open in September 2027, and online gaming — including a Sports Wagering licence and an Internet Gaming licence, with a single online operator authorised to date. That licensed product is geolocation-restricted to players physically inside the UAE, prohibits VPN use, and is limited to those aged 21 and over.

Everything outside that licensed framework remains a criminal offence under Federal Decree-Law No. 31 of 2021, the Crimes and Penalties Law. The criminal law is federal and identical in all seven emirates — Dubai is not treated differently from Abu Dhabi or Sharjah. Sources disagree on specific article numbers and penalty figures, so we do not state them; verify with a qualified lawyer before relying on any figure you see quoted anywhere.

CoinPoker Casino — the crypto-first route

CoinPoker Casino, rated 9.4, earns its place for readers already declined by a UAE bank. UAE cards and local bank transfers routinely reject gambling merchant category codes, so cryptocurrency payments and international e-wallets are the routes that tend to function. Its advertised offer is also up to 40% extra on combo bets, with the same class of leg and odds conditions.

Limitation: a crypto-denominated balance carries exchange-rate movement on top of the AED conversion cost, and its sportsbook breadth on niche markets is thinner than the two brands above. Crypto transactions also leave a permanent on-chain record.
